I'm an Indiana girl who transplanted to Illinois over 30 years ago and was lucky enough to find a career that doesn't feel like work. I, like many others thought of Real Estate as a fun career. I love houses and I love people so I thought the two together would be great. And honestly, it has been! It is a wonderful, sometimes challenging career where I am able to meet and work with a diverse group of people and impact their lives. I am a full time Realtor, and have been in the business since 2002 so I've seen lots of changes and ups and downs with the markets. I've learned to navigate them while helping my clients navigate their sale or purchase. This career has been so much more of everything I expected, and I'd love to share that with you. My goal with each client is to find out what your goals are and to help you achieve them. I truly want to make a difference and be your advisor. I've built my business on this concept by keeping myself accessible, being a good listener and communicator, and responding quickly to you and your needs. I have a process for both buyers and sellers that will educate and guide you while allowing you to make all of the decisions best for you and your family. We empower our agents and empower our clients with the best technology and marketing. My path to Real Estate had some stops along the way. I am originally from Indiana, but have called Central Illinois home since 1992. I'm Gen X and was a latchkey kid, who played outside all day and watched after school specials. I started college in Ohio, changed my major five times, went to four Universities and finished my degree through Eastern Illinois University on nights and weekends. Along the way I worked in Accounting, Marketing, Event Planning and Administrative positions. I was a substitute and Title I teacher. I also owned my own business helping seniors move into assisted living facilities. I learned a lot through those jobs that now help me be a better Realtor. My attention to detail will assure that a date won't be missed. My time teaching allowed me to hone my skill explaining documents and educating on the market and process. I understand how important negotiation skills are. I've taken additional training so that I can work towards a win-win while still working for my client and their desired outcome. I've also grown from my duties in my role as the Designated Managing Broker of my offices for the past ten years. In 2019 I received the Eddy Award, a Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group company-wide award and in 2024 I was given the honor of being names Champaign County Association of Realtors Realtor of theYear. I am motivated by the desire to serve peope and our community well. I'm a mom to Ryan and Rylee and a grandma (Oma) to Charlie. I am involved in church activities, Bible study and I love music and sports. I am a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Champaign County Association of Realtors.
