Gone are the days when an agent could sell a house by placing it in the MLS and hammering a sign into the front yard. In my 30+ years of experience, I have seen many shifts in the market and the requirements an agent must make to meet those of the seller. Listing agents have to aggressively cut through the inventory in markets such as the market of today. Even with an aggressive plan there are no guarantees. Yet, it is up to the seller and their agent to promote the home at all contacts to move the home toward a successful sale. What should be done? Education and Training A LITTLE BRIEF BACKGROUND OF "WHO AM I" grew up in Palatine, graduated in the first graduating class out of Wm Fremd HS, have a Bachelor’s in Education from Wartburg College, an MA in History from DePaul University and a MS in Administrative Policy from Northwestern University. I started in Real Estate as I was teaching in District #211. I was able to pursue both careers successfully with help from my family and professional associates. I retired from teaching after 34 years, and now devote my time and energy to my clients. I enjoy helping people and it’s one of the reasons I became a Realtor and a Teacher. After more than 30 years in Real Estate, I pride myself on maintaining an investment of time into education, certifications and continuing studies for the formal training I need to be a success and serve you well.
