About 1.25 miles uphill from the Maiko home is the Hawaiian Shores Community Center. Your Home Owner's Association fee grants access to a large pool, children's playground, BBQ Pit area and community area for your enjoyment and it is a great place to meet your neighbors. Pahoa Town is less than 5 miles away and has shopping, groceries, restaurants and more.
