A lifelong resident of Hawaiʻi, Jody Libed brings more than five decades of distinguished experience in sales, marketing, real estate, and community service. Throughout her career in the telecommunications, retail, and media industries, Jody consistently ranked among the top 10% of sales professionals, establishing a reputation for excellence, integrity, and exceptional client service. Following her successful career in sales and marketing, Jody transitioned her extensive business experience and deep knowledge of Hawaiʻi’s communities and real estate market to the real estate profession. Her background in strategic marketing, negotiation, and relationship management has provided her with a strong foundation for serving buyers and sellers throughout Hawaiʻi. Jody’s personal experience in real estate dates to the age of 19, when she began buying and selling properties for herself. Over the decades, she has developed a sophisticated understanding of real estate transactions, property values, negotiation strategies, and market dynamics. Jody has been actively involved in numerous community and professional organizations, including serving as an Executive Board Member of the Portlock Community Association, Kahala Community Association, and Punahou Hale Board. She has also served as Chairman of the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® Tax Subcommittee, a member of the Hawaiʻi Association of REALTORS® Government Affairs Committee, and a Trustee of the Hawaiʻi Association of REALTORS® REALTORPAC. She was also a member of the REALTORS® Navigator program. Jody’s extensive knowledge of real property taxation and her commitment to public service led to her appointment by the Honolulu Mayor and City Council as a Board Member of the Board of Review, Real Property Tax Division. In this role, she has brought her professional experience, understanding of property matters, and commitment to fairness and responsible public service to the review of real property tax matters. In addition to her professional and community leadership, Jody previously served as an American Studies Instructor at the University of Hawaiʻi, where she specialized in Hawaiʻi’s local cultures. Her lifelong connection to the islands has given her a unique appreciation for Hawaiʻi’s people, communities, history, and way of life.
