My family and I moved to Central Florida in 1983 to escape the winters of the northeast. After graduating high school I went to work in the hospitality business for about 10 years before transitioning into public service for the next 20 years. In 2010 I purchased my first Multifamily investment property and since then I've held over a dozen mortgages, built and sold multiple new construction homes, and managed several Multifamily rental properties, including a horse farm! The American dream of property ownership is one of the biggest wealth building tools available to most people and I know that I would not have been able to achieve the level of financial success that I have, in the time frame that I did, without it! As good a wealth building tool as it is, real estate can be complex, and there are definitely numerous pitfalls to be avoided.
