About Gloria

Hi, I'm Gloria Akers, a Licensed Realtor with Coldwell Banker. A native-born Floridian, I was raised in Miami and lived in the "magic city" for most of my life until we relocated our family to Pensacola in 2018. As a resident of this small-town community, I have grown to appreciate the change from big city life to the relaxed lifestyle of this coastal area. Pensacola is surrounded by natural beauty, white sandy beaches and spectacular sunsets along the inter-coastal waterways, making it a sought-after city to work and live. Also known as a Navy town, the area is home to many military families. Our own family has a history in the military which stems from my husband, Jeff, who served 6 years in the Navy to his dad, who served both as a Senior Chief for 23.5 years followed by 20 years in civil service. Professionally, I was VP of my own business in Miami in the air conditioning field. Along with my husband, my 20-year tenure as a business owner has given me the expertise, communication skills and customer service experience which are the building blocks of a dedicated real estate professional. When the opportunity presented itself, I pursued a career in real estate because I wholeheartedly believe that a home is a treasured part of our family lives. My passion has always been in helping people, either through my own business, volunteer work or in my faith. As a licensed bilingual agent, I am able to assist local residents, as well as Spanish-speaking clients with the purchase and sale of their home or land. The Pensacola area continues to grow and as a prime real estate destination, my clients benefit in knowing that their hometown real estate agent has their best interest at heart. In my spare time, I enjoy boating, going to the beach and singing with my husband. Family values and integrity are the core of who I am. I credit my hard-working Latin grandmother, who not only instilled these principals, but always taught me that building a great life means going above and beyond your expectations.
