About Nneka

Born in Liberia to Nigerian diplomat parents, Nneka Nwakoby was raised in a culturally rich environment, living in Europe, Nigeria, and the United States. Her global upbringing shaped a broad worldview that informed both her personal and professional life. After completing college and law school in the U.S., Nneka became practiced law, specifically as a civil litigator in New York City. In 1999, she married her wonderful husband, and in 2002, after the birth of their son, they relocated to Ocala, Florida, where her husband had the opportunity to join a thriving medical practice. At this point, Nneka decided to pause her legal career to focus on raising their child. Three and a half years after their son was born, they welcomed a daughter into their family. As a stay-at-home mom, she became deeply involved in volunteering at their schools, fostering a strong sense of community and actively supporting her children’s education and religious and extracurricular activities. Her dedication as a mother is reflected in her children’s accomplishments—her son graduated from MIT, and her daughter is currently a freshman at Rice University. Now, with both children forging their own paths, Nneka is excited to pursue new opportunities, bringing her passion and commitment to a second career.
