About Lou

Luis "Lou" Martinez is a 20-year U.S. Army, retired combat Veteran. In 1997, he enlisted in the U.S. Army immediately upon graduation from high school. Throughout his military career he deployed to numerous combat tours to include Afghanistan and Iraq. Additionally, he was awarded numerous awards for excellence and meritorious achievement to include Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, U.S. Army Instructor of the Year, Audie Murphy Club Inductee and two Bronze Stars. In 2017, after 20 plus years of honorable service, he retired from the U.S. Army. Upon retirement, he began work as an Operations Manager with Tech Masters, Inc. responsible for the management of daily operations in support of new equipment/capabilities development for the United States Army. In 2019, he left Tech Masters, Inc. for a new opportunity and began work as an Account Executive with StartGuides, LLC, responsible for the project management and development of smart applications for the Department of Defense (DoD). Throughout the years Lou has built a reputation for going above and beyond his client's needs by applying the same level of attention to detail, tenacity, creativity, communication skills and passion that led to an honorable military career. His clients have coined him "The Above & Beyond Agent." Additionally, his leadership experience at the highest levels of our military and drive for achieving excellence in all he does, allows him to provide a real estate experience to his clients that is second to none. Lou loves all aspects of real estate to include helping military families transition and working expired listings. Lou is a graduate of Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA.
