Betsy's love for Amelia Island began many years ago when her great uncle moved here in the early 2000's. He was so proud of his new island (that she had never even heard of) and was eager to show it off to the family. Being a realtor himself, he would drive Besty around fervently pointing out all the sights like a tour guide, making sure she didn't miss one inch of his piece of paradise, and the rest is history... The love that her great uncle had for this island spread and years later, while she was in college at Valdosta State University, her parents moved here from her hometown of Alpharetta, Georgia. During one of her visits to her new ?home,? she was introduced to her husband, Jake, who was born and raised here. After a year of dating long distance back and forth from Atlanta, where she was working as an elementary school teacher, she officially moved to Amelia to eagerly begin the rest of her life. Fast forward 10 years, she still loves this place and proudly calls it ?home? with Jake and their three young boys; William, Hank and Miles, along with their Boykin spaniel, Duke. They live for beach days, exploring the greenway and hanging out with all the friends they've made here. Her knowledge of the area, including all the wonderful schools and places that are alluring to families, is what drives her to share her passion for living here with others. Betsy believes in giving back to her community and gives of her time by volunteering at the Amelia Island Montessori School. She delights in sharing what the beautiful Florida area lifestyle has to offer her clients with her local knowledge and expertise; which include a multitude of outdoor activities offering gorgeous nature trails for walking, hiking and biking while exploring the island and enjoying the beautiful beaches together with wonderful dining, boutique shopping unique events and activities for everyone.
