About Stephen

While growing up in the small town of Urbanna, Virginia, Stephen M. Longest's parents instilled in him the value of hard work, kindness, and honesty. Stephen attended The Apprentice School at Newport News Shipyard. After graduating his career afforded him the opportunity to travel the US and around the world. One of his jobs brought him to Southwest Florida in 2012, and it didn't take long for him to fall in love with the area. For over 16 years, Stephen worked in industrial metrology with the first 13 years dedicated to measuring, aligning, and inspecting crucial systems. The nature of this work reinforced in him the importance and value of integrity and attention to detail. In 2016, he advanced in his career to become a sales associate for his company. This change afforded him the opportunity to refine and grow his customer service skills. While Stephen truly enjoyed working with customers to find measurement solutions for their needs, his career kept him away from home more than he wanted which prompted Stephen to begin working towards obtaining his real estate license and working full time as a REALTOR®. The experiences he had along the way led him to develop his slogan "More than Just a REALTOR®" and, when you work with him, you will notice that he goes above and beyond for his customers. From the start of the search to beyond the closing table, Stephen works tirelessly to ensure his buyers' satisfaction. When working with sellers Stephen's eye for detail and negotiation skills have contributed to ensuring his customers' top-dollar, speedy, and stress-free home sales. He closes millions of dollars in home sales each year in Sanibel, Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Matlacha. Stephen consistently delivers a level of customer service beyond the typical. Having lived in Matlacha for several years now, you will find that Stephen is quite the Islander. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking the trails of Pine Island, boating the waters of SWFL, going to the beach on Sanibel, and spending time with his dog, Bucee. If he is not working with customers, you might find him out enjoying local musicians or browsing local artists' work.
