About "Jan' (James ) Jan began his career in real estate in Seattle Washington in 1968. In 1989 he moved to the San Francisco Bay area and continued his real estate career in California. He has been a pioneer in promoting the concept of “Staging” homes so they can sell faster and often for more money. Jan was in on the beginning of the movement and has helped to promote “Staging” to Realtors throughout the United States.   As an avid sailor and scuba diver, in 1992 he moved to Clearwater to further his real estate career. Additionally, he provided sales and marketing for several Cayman Island Resorts. He served as a licensed and bonded professional fund raiser for Cancer Research Programs.   Together he and His wife Shirley have been instrumental in raising millions to further their programs and to provide assistance to families who have been touched by Cancer. They served the American Cancer Research Center and the National Children's Cancer Society.   Together with his wife Shirley and friends, they have enjoyed a sailing adventure that took them to many islands and ports circumnavigating the entire Caribbean.    jamesawelch.com 727-742-0999
