In 1906, Albert Nion Tucker, Colbert Coldwell and John Conant Lynch formed Tucker, Lynch & Coldwell in San Francisco after the devastating earthquake that shook the city in that same year. Benjamin Arthur Banker joined the firm in 1913 and became a partner in 1914. Later that same year, the company was renamed Coldwell Banker and the rest is history.
