About Me I was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and have lived in several areas of the country until finally settling down with my husband of 10 years, 3 incredible children and 2 loveable dogs in the beautiful state of Connecticut. As soon as we purchased our first house here, we knew this was where we wanted to raise our family. CT instantly felt like home. We recently built and moved into our second home where we plan on staying for a very long time. Having lived and worked in several different places has given me a huge appreciation of the match between peoplersquo;s needs and wants and how they can differ depending on the community and situation. Professional Experience Upon completing my education, I began working in Real Estate and developed experience in many different aspects of the industry. I initially worked as Closing Agent for a title company in Colorado where I learned the intricate details of a real estate closing and the process a homebuyer and seller go through to complete a transaction. After much success, I wanted to have a deeper knowledge of the business. I transferred to the mortgage division which was headquartered outside of Philadelphia in southern NJ. I trained and became a Residential Mortgage Loan Officer working directly with buyers to help them obtain the financing they need to purchase their dream homes. I fell in love with helping people make their housing dreams a reality. I was able to use my knowledge to guide buyers to make smart decisions to finance the home they were buying. After marrying my husband in 2005, I decided that I wanted to further my love for helping people and became a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in NJ. Once I did, I knew I had found my permanent niche within the industry I loved. I brought all of that knowledge and expertise to Connecticut where I continue making home buyers and sellers dreams a reality. Community Involvement Board of Education - Board Member BEF ndash; Chairman of the Board (4 years): This is a non-profit foundation that raises money to promote innovation, creativity and excellence in learning by providing grants to local educators for special projects for their classrooms or schools that would otherwise go unfunded. Successfully raised and disbursed over $200,000 in such grants in my tenure Chamber of Commerce ndash; Member Volunteer for numerous charities and activities in my community and schools.
