About Katie

When not working with real estate clients, Katie Velasquez Richards can be heard performing as Co-Principal Flutist of the U.S. Coast Guard Band, based in New London, CT. As a Texas native who earned advanced music degrees in Boston (Go BU Terriers!) and Los Angeles, Katie's performance career has taken her all over the world. Landing her dream music job with the U.S. Coast Guard Band unexpectedly transplanted her to southeastern Connecticut, where she fell in love with the shoreline, the history, and the meaning of serving her country through music. She specializes in working with Military and First-Time home buyers and has a passion for helping clients find their perfect home.
