About Stephanie

When they say real estate runs in your blood, they aren’t kidding. Stephanie grew up watching her mom, Deirdre FitzGerald, as the owner of Village Real Estate in Branford. Observing her Mother negotiating on behalf of her clients, finding solutions to her clients problems and seeing the joy that homeownership brought to her clients had Stephanie “sold” on becoming a realtor. Those same traits she observed, and the negotiation and customer service skills are the foundation of Stephanie’s real estate career. She works equally with both sellers and buyers and her main objective has always been understanding the clients wants and needs both financially and personally. She is an excellent communicator and strives to build long-term relationships based on clear communication and trust that goes beyond the transaction. And she finds that many of her clients also become friends. With this philosophy, Stephanie has built up a network of clients which include repeat buyers and sellers who actively refer Stephanie to their friends and family. If asked, Stephanie has a special place in her heart for first time buyers. And although the process can be quite stressful – finding a home for a first time buyer and the look in their eyes when they get the keys is priceless. Stephanie prides herself on keeping current with the ever- evolving real estate market and has actively participated in many of the New Haven Middlesex Board activities, including being a board member and working on various committees. She is also a recipient of the Community Service Award from the New Haven Middlesex Board. Prior to joining Coldwell Banker, Stephanie was with ReMax for over 20 years and was a consistent 100% Award Winner and was inducted into the ReMax Hall of Fame. Stephanie is also a big supporter of local community activities, most notably the Branford Garden Club, where she was awarded the Volunteer of the Year for 2019. Stephanie coordinates the meal volunteers for the meeting each month, participates in civic development activities including Baskets on the Green, and the Herb Garden at the historic Harrison House. She also volunteers with the Red Cross, the Branford Festival and she is an Assistant Registrar of Voters for Branford. Her volunteer activities are to be commended! And when Stephanie is not working or volunteering, she’s out and about with her husband Walter, or her grandkids/granddogs, working in her own garden, attending a spin or stretch class, or just enjoying life.
