Wake up to river light and pine shade in this High Sierra USFS cabin on leased land, tucked along a quiet stretch of the American River. Tall trees wrap the property in cool coverperfect for picnic blankets, long conversations, and unhurried afternoons. A short walking path leads to a clear swimming and fishing hole, close enough for morning dips and evening casts. Inside, the cabin is easy to live in: generous bedrooms and a full bath on the main level, plus a loft and king bedroom with a 3/4 bath upstairs. There's room for kids and grandkids to sprawl, play, and settle in. On cool nights, the woodstove keeps the rooms warm and the mood slow. Step out to the kitchen patio, gather at the fire ring under the stars, or hang a hammock in a quiet pocket of the trees. Shared spring water is crisp, cold, and the kind of alpine-pure people talk about packing home. This is less a weekend cabin than a place families return toseason after season.
