His personal musical theater favorites includes, Phantom, West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Kept, Pacific Overtures, Elton John's Aida, and Miss Saigon to name a few. Since 2002, Romar continues to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and in 2005, he had produced an annual one-man cabaret show to benefit Habitat for Humanity where he'd raised thousands of dollars for the charity.
