At the age of ten she and her best friend worked in the plot of land the family leased to grow fresh vegetables. After working hard in the garden during the day, they would load up their red wagon, and in the late afternoon, walk door-to-door selling fresh lettuce, carrots and other vegetables they had picked in the garden that morning. They also started their own summer camp for the neighborhood kids at a dollar a head a day. That was during the longest dry spell for the month of June in a long time, but that didn’t stop Laurie from taking the kids to the local park for a game of baseball in the hot afternoon sun. Since 1985, Laurie has used these life’s lessons to provide a patient and caring approach with a sophisticated knowledge of what can be a complex real estate market.
