Kathleen grew up in Malaysia & Singapore , and is an alumnus of the National University of Singapore. She speaks English, Mandarin, Foochow, Hokkien, Taiwanese,Cantonese, and Malay. A Bay Area Resident since 1980 , she is married with 3 sons who are alumni of the Saratoga School District (Argonaut Elementary, Redwood Middle) and Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint High School District (Saratoga High) , Stanford University & Harvard University . Kathleen's belief that each child deserves a good education propels her involvement as a classroom aide, in the Elementary and High School PTA , University Alumni and Community Groups .
