About Emma

My name is Emma Layson Edquilang, a licensed professional REALTOR® in California for more than 19 years, happily married and blessed with two daughters (twins). My background as a graduate and licensed Dentist from the Philippines helped me become a California Registered Dental Assistant. Since 1990, I have assisted chairside with Dentists, became a back office manager, and was a part-time instructor of a Dental Assisting program of two different schools. While instructing, I transitioned to a career as a full-time loan officer and a Real Estate agent. I am now a full-time REALTOR® helping and assisting serious and motivated buyers and sellers in today’s Real Estate Market. I was born in Cotabato City, Mindanao in the southern part of the Philippines and was raised in Olongapo City, Luzon in the northern part of the Philippines. My family relocated to Luzon when my father, Longinos F. Layson, Jr. became bank manager of Country Development Bank. My mother, Catalina M. Layson, was a teacher by profession and owned a nursery school in Olongapo City. I like to think my father’s career as a bank manager and my mother’s career as a teacher rubbed off on me as I took similar career paths becoming a loan officer and a Dental Assistant program instructor. As an active-duty military spouse for over 20 years, I take pride in helping military families find a home. Military life as a spouse had its challenges, especially when I had to raise my twin girls while my husband was away. I make a point to not only be professional, but also be a support system for military clients. I am an active and passionate REALTOR@ to help, assist, and guide my clients. Together with many loan officers depending upon the needs of the homebuyers. Our goal is to deliver to our clients the right home with a Five-Star Real Estate experience. Together as one team, we will make a transaction happen and close smoothly with a blink of an eye.
