It is a 8.68 mile boat ride downstream on the Big Susitna from Deshka landing to the cabin. As you approach your Alaskan Dream, you will see a high bluff with your future adventure waiting. The cabin is equipped with all of the essentials to ensure you are prepared and ready for a goodtime, except BYOB. The main level hosts a fully stocked kitchen (pots/pans/dishes/silverware/etc), classic hickory cabinets, propane operated refrigerator, propane operated full size stove, and stainless steel kitchen sink. The living area has commercial grade vinyl flooring with a beautiful wood grain look and carpet upstairs. The living area separates the dining area, providing a little bit of privacy for the main-level bedroom. For hot summer days, you'll love the ceiling fan in the primary. As you make your way upstairs, you will find 2 bedrooms that are ready for your guests to enjoy. The Blaze King Wood stove is bound to keep you warm any time of the year. However, if you need a little extra heat, there is a 30,000 BTU direct vent empire propane heater in the primary bedroom on the main-level. To operate the cabin (lights & TV), there is a 3000 Honda EU Generator. If you prefer batteries, it comes with a 2000 EU inverter (Battery Bank System not included). Must I go on? The exterior has designated outbuildings like a 8x10 generator shack, 8x8 Privy, and a 10x12 Tool Shed. The Big Susitna is known for feisty silver salmon and pinks. During hunting season, moose are known to help fill freezers to hold you over until next season. My favorite memory of visiting the cabin was sitting out at the fire pit, laughing with the ones I love, all while watching the running river, and hearing the fish jump.
