Tenakee cabin on five lots! Near the float plan and ferry dock but well above the trail so that you can truly escape and be away from everyone. Potential for great gardens with a greenhouse already in place. Lots of older apple trees, roses, honeysuckle, rhododendrons and more. Tenakee Springs is approximately 45 miles south of Juneau, on Chichagof Island. The fishing is first rate in these nutrient rich, protected waters. The town is very friendly, with a self-run government and no property taxes. The hot springs are located in the middle of town close to the one room post office. The general store is about the right size for the 100 or so residents. You can get there through the Alaska Marine Highway (ferry system), or by float plane or private vessel. The harbor is well run, as is the community garden. Come for a visit, stay for a lifetime.
