Our small airstrip doesn't have any lights, so the traffic is minimal as the days come to a close. The metal roof shrugs off snow like a seasoned pro, and the expansive, newly treated wood decks are my sunlit haven for morning coffee or planning my next flight. Other than flying my plane, this has been my go-to spot, whether I'm casting a line at high tide, leading a sunrise stretching session, or hosting friends for an evening of storytelling as we watch planes come and go. Our A-frame home has been my personal slice of heaven.
