About Ernesta

Born in Wilson, NC, and remained in Wilson County through High School until enrolling in college at NC A&T State University in Greensboro, NC where I lived for several years. I returned to Wilson, NC received my BS in Elementary Education from NC Wesleyan University Rocky Mount, NC – afterwards, I began my teaching career in the Wilson County School System where I received “First Year Teacher of the Year” and taught for several years. I moved to Rocky Mount, NC in 1998, and taught at Rocky Mount Preparatory Academy for several years, before going on to teach at Showers of Blessing Christian Academy. I later became a Real Estate Broker in 2017. I have been an active member of Showers of Blessing Christian Center, Rocky Mount for 31 years - former Praise and Worship Team Member for 25 years and now active as the Marketing Director, Marriage Ministry Teacher and Counselor as well as serving in various other capacities in the church, Rocky Mount Area Association of Realtors Board of Directors member from 2018 to present and served as Secretary 2018 – 2021. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, entrepreneur, mentor and advocate. My journey has empowered me to be compassionate, understanding and patient with each of my clients’ individual needs.
