Restaurant Roulette with Suzanne! July Issue!
There are 3 rules to the game:
1) Every month one person picks the places to dine.
2) No one in the group could have eaten there before.
3) Everyone splits the bill.

Last evening was Rachael's choice of restaurants for the month. The first was Pizza Lupo on Butler Street in Lawrenceville. Little did we realize that it is a pick up pizza place (till the end of August for renovations) BUT there was one little table available. The staff was not accustomed to dine in but smiled and served us.
We ordered meatballs, four to an order topped with melted mozzarella and tasty marinara sauce. ($7) We order meatballs every time we eat Italian, our test of the restaurant. Very good!
The pie is a White pie with flowerette dollops of fresh ricotta and Big Dom's sausage. We liked the pizza, crispy bottom and a hearty crust with some bubbles. I thought it was a little shy on sausage. ($17)
We packed up our leftovers and headed to Custard's First Stand, cute name, on Camp Horne Road. Friendly service. We found out that the place had changed hands recently and during COVID-19 had stopped serving food. There is a large covered patio area and chairs where you can enjoy your ice cream. They serve soft serve and hard serve which is Hershey's ice cream. They offer a huge menu with many flavors, types and toppings.
We ordered parfaits, Rachael a banana, peanut butter sauce, hot fudge with peanut butter cup ice cream, and of course topped with whipped cream and a cherry. I had vanilla ice cream topped with hot fudge, peanut butter sauce, peanuts and a cherry. These are very generous portions. If you are in the area, stop by. Nice place with great service!
Until next time, stay safe and happy eating!
