Last night was my pick for dinner. I think I found my new favorite local Italian restaurant! Storms in Baldwin is absolutely fantastic, reasonably priced, and superb service! Our server was Amber and she was just great—friendly, knew the menu and is efficient. Located on a corner of a small strip mall, there is ample parking and it is well lighted. We started with arancini and fried zucchini.
The arancini were large, filled with sticky rice and gooey cheese in a crispy coating served with marinara sauce. (*special item, not always on menu)
Fried zucchini was a huge portion sliced thin, like we like then, cooked to a crispy delectable flavor, served with marinara sauce and lemon wedges. ($10.95)
Entrees are served with soup or a side salad. We both chose the homemade wedding soup with plenty of meatballs and chicken, absolutely delicious and served piping hot on a cold evening.
By now it was hard to go on, but we did persevere. My chicken Romano was three pieces of white breast meat, crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside served with a light creamy cheese sauce. ($17.95)
Rachael ordered chicken parmigiana, again a huge portion smothered with sauce and cheese. Everything was mouth watering. ($17.95)
Storms serves signature desserts and we shared a slice of death by chocolate and coffee. Of course not a crumb was left. (*special dessert menu, updated frequently)
We brought plenty of leftovers home to enjoy again. Top notch rating for Storms. I will definitely be back!
Until next time, stay safe and enjoy!
