Personal Background Born in Greece, near the Ionian Sea, minutes away from the birthplace of the Olympic games. Immigrated to the US in 1968. Since 1970 Mimika lives with her husband in an updated Dutch Colonial home overlooking Long Island Sound, in the Shippan area of Stamford CT. Her husband Michael is president of Michael Blanc Architects and Associates, Stamford, CT. Their two boys, Christopher and Adrien have finished college, are on their own, and live nearby; visits with Mom and Dad, therefore, happen often. Family and friends are very-very important and good food is always the backdrop of frequent gatherings! Both Mimika and Michael were born in Europe (Michael in Switzerland) have kept close ties with family and friends overseas. Traveling is one of their pastimes, and have spent numerous vacations in countries across the Atlantic, as well as, South America.
