    David Russ review It has been several months since my husband and I jubilantly bought the house that David helped us find, and I still haven't figured out how to adequately describe the fantastic job he did for us throughout the whole process! My husband and I knew a year or two in advance that we would be moving here from out of state. To help me become familiar with the area, David connected me to two different computer “subscriptions” of current listings. I called him frequently and asked him to tweak my criteria for the listings or my “boundaries” on the map, explain something, or advise me about some aspect of home buying; he was always thorough, helpful and patient. Occasionally I came to town and explored the city more, to get a feel for specific neighborhoods. Finally it was time for me to come and actually find and buy a house! By then, David had become an expert on what my husband and I wanted (and where, and in what price range), and he prepared for each of our many expeditions by printing up a map of the area we would visit, and a sheet for each house that we would look at that day (with room to take notes). He is very observant and has a phenomenal memory, and could answer my questions: “What was the garage like in that brick house with the big back yard?” or “In the house near the park, was there space near the kitchen for the bird cage?” After a while, it was clear that the “perfect” house for my husband and me didn’t exist; I needed to prioritize. David was cheerfully realistic, and really good at seeing the potential in a place, figuring out which “faults” could be corrected, which gaps could be filled. I didn’t want a shabby “fixer-upper” that needed a lot of major repairs, but I was OK with making some changes, and David knew a contractor we could hire later to do the job (another story with another happy ending). Fortunately, a house doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful; we found a beautiful home that clearly would work out just fine for my husband and me (and our needs, wants, pets, hobbies and tons of stuff). Next came the convoluted legal and financial obstacle course through which homebuyers must pass. It turned out to be surprisingly manageable with David skillfully leading us step-by-step through the maze and its new people, rules, terminology, documentation, decisions, and endless signatures and initials. I was delighted that I didn’t have to become an expert at any of these things: it was David’s job to be the expert: understand everything, coordinate everyone, and deal with the occasional glitches. I asked a lot of questions; if he didn’t know the answer he’d research it. Other times I didn’t want details, just instructions: we simply did what he told us, and it all worked out great. Closing day finally came, and then moving day, and now here we are, settling in and loving our new home! David didn’t disappear after the closing; I continued to rely on him, particularly during those early days in the house: “The mail box is locked and I can’t find a key.” “The MW quit working … did we buy a warranty?” I still call him now and then, needing some information or friendly advice, and he is always totally professional … and very personable at the same time (a tricky balance to master). Occasionally he will contact me, to say hello and see how things are going. Most important: I trust his expertise, honesty and integrity completely, and he has never let me down. I won’t hesitate to use David Russ if I need a realtor in the future, and I would confidently recommend him to a family member, friend, or anyone who plans to buy or sell a home or other property.     David worked very hard with us, helping to locate and purchase a house Sept 2016. It was a bit unusual in that we were from out of town, had to fly in and spend about 20-25 days looking a houses. After finding one in 4 days and offer was made but another individual chosen. David recognized the possibility of an overly high bid and suggested we submit a right of first refusal. We continued looking and on the day (1 week later) we were to offer on another house he found out the previous house had returned to be available and we were able to purchase it. He also was of great help in the time between offer and final closing as we had to return to our home elsewhere. He maintained communication and kept us abreast of the process, arranged for home inspection, sewer inspection and radon testing. There were a number of repairs and a pump for treating the high reading of radon were resolved before we returned and closed. David was absolutely superb and will use again in a heartbeat.

    David did a great job to make the sale go through.There were lots of bumps and David took care of them all. He even went the extra mile to remove some trash that was in the yard. I would recommend David to any buyer or seller looking for an honest dependable realtor. Jin
