4 Reasons to Sell this Fall
There's no better time like the present! I always tell my clients who say they want to until next year, next spring.... that we know what the market is like NOW. As strong as the market may be today, no one can truly predict what is going to happen and where it will be a few months or a few years from now.
So what are some other reason to sell now?
- Buyer Demand is Still Strong: Interest rates are still at historic low's so buyers have the most buying power they've had in years so they can qualify for quite a bit more than they could a couple of years ago so obviously they're going to want to jump on something now. Now that school has started and everyone is getting back in to the swing of things, people want to buy and/or sell before the holidays and the cold winter weather.
- There is less competition now: The past few months there's been a solid 3 months of inventory which is low for what the normal housing market needs nationally which is typically about 6 months. If you choose to wait until the Spring time to sell... along with everyone else, there is going to be far more competition so standing out from the crowd will be tougher.
- There will never be a better time to move up: As I mentioned earlier, there's no better time than the present. Housing prices are still appreciating and all indicators show that it will continue to appreciate by 5.4% over the next year according to CoreLogic.
- It's time to move on with your life: What is your motivation for selling and what made you decide to sell? Do you have grandkids on the way? A new job? Need more elbow room? Think about that and the pros and cons of waiting vs selling now. You can get where you want to be sooner and take advantage of the low interest rates and high buying power yourself. Never wait to start living the life you desire.
