About Scott

This is what my dad always called the “Brag” or “Yay me” page. I'm just an average guy. I grew up as a \"service brat\" whose father spent 29 years in the United States Air Force. We moved around the country a great deal, so I understand the problems associated with hauling your family into a new city in an unknown state. My career, prior to becoming a Real Estate agent, was teaching/coaching. Again, this helped my preparation for this job. I moved often, coaching at 7 different high schools.  I have seen quite a few high school gyms in my life. I spent 31 years coaching high school basketball and teaching history, government, economics and English. I am 69 years old and have lived in 37 different homes in my lifetime, so I think that I understand moving.    I love San Angelo and believe that it is a wonderful place to live. It is a big “small town.” It is home to lovely neighborhoods, a great university, a unique air force base…one with no planes and some of the friendliest, kindest people on the planet. To learn more about some of my favorite places and things to do in San Angelo, visit my website, sanangelobucketlist.wordpress.com. For more real estate information, find me at realtorscott.wordpress.com.   I have 4 children: Kris, Kathryn, Kort and Abby. My grown son is serving our country in the US Army and is stationed in Tampa, Florida. I think he has turned into a pretty cool guy: an officer who is also a published author who plays the guitar. My talented and lovely eldest daughter lives and works in San Antonio. She is the only one in the family with an artistic bent.  The \"pups\" are at home, aged 18 and 17. Kort is a freshman at Texas Tech University and in the Honors College. He plans upon becoming a marine biologist.  Abby, a junior at Wall High School, home of the Lady Hawks. She is a member of the basketball and tennis squads.. My wife, Darla, is a teacher at Wall Elementary. My hobbies are reading and watching my kids participate in athletics. If I don’t answer the phone, I'm probably in the bleachers somewhere, cheering for one of Abby's teams. So I'm just an average guy who likes kids, tennis, basketball and books.    Since becoming a REALTOR, I have been fairly successful. In 2017, I sold over 60 houses with a total value of over $10 million.  On average, my partner and I sell over 55 houses annually.  I am a 9-time recipient of the President's Circle Award given to the top 2% of Coldwell Banker Agents.   I have been lucky, but I believe that luck really comes about through hard work and preparation. This is a service industry. Working hard brings results. So I diligently create and utilize systems which serve the people I work for--the \"other average guys\" out there. Call me and I'll discuss what makes Coldwell Banker the place for \"you all\" to come back to again and again. Come visit me on my website or find me on Facebook or on my Youtube channel (talktoScott).
