Personal Background Tom was born and raised in the cosmopolitan and diverse Hyde Park-Kenwood area on Chicago's southside. He was active as a youth in many school, church and neighborhood organizations including the internationally respected Chicago Children's Choir where he performed as lead vocalist. He is a graduate of Kenwood High School and Bard College in upstate New York. Since then, he has lived and worked on Chicago's North side and in the northern suburbs. He and his family currently reside in Lincolnwood.
