This little slice of West Knoxville is one of my favorites. The Bluegrass Community truly knows how to show spirit! A local balloon artist, Above the Rest Balloon & Event Designs, displays balloon decorations for every occasion on Ebenezer Road keeping the community cheerful and bright! Directly across from Bluegrass Elementary School a local freelance graphic designer and muralist, Cooper Moldrup, painted a local greeting card on a large retaining wall featuring the words "Greetings from Bluegrass". The community features a diverse selection of homes varying in age, size and price range. It is also minutes from plenty of amenities including vets, parks, lake access for boats, a dog park, golf courses, restaurants, coffee shops, stores, doctors offices, churches, schools and gas stations. While i can not list them all I will list a few of my favorite. The Brasserie, if you are looking for a classy meal this French restaurant is the place to go! If you are seeking a more casual dining experience, Cazzy's Corner serves scrumptious food (I highly recommend the cod sandwich). Our local dog park, Concord Dog Park, is located in Concord Park including the grounds once known as Concord Pool. It provides almost 4 acres of land for you and your furry friends to play including a dock with river access for your animals, fountains, an outdoor shower for your animal and more, it is definitely the dog park you don't want to miss! Concord Park has something for almost everyone. There you can enjoy boat loading ramp access, a skate park, volley ball court, picnic area, tennis courts, paved walking trails, soccer fields and more! We also have Admiral Park which includes a frisbee golf course! Again these are just a few of my favorite things about the area. less

We moved from Florida 7 years ago on a corporate relocation. Being a family that loved the beach and water activities the Florida coastline provides we were apprehensive about the opportunities for water sports in the mountains of Tennessee. Great News... If you enjoy days out on the water Knoxville, Lenoir City, Farragut and Oak Ridge will not disappoint. Avid fishermen will find bass and crappie galore while those who hang ten can surf and wake board miles of shoreline. Concord Real Estate Concord is an unincorporated town in Knox County (it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places). It is located to the east of Farragut and the west of Knoxville. The area is just minutes from Farragut, which you can connect to via a scenic drive down Norhshore Drive or via the waterway on Fort Loudon Lake which is part of the large appeal for this area. That and the great schools. It's also important to recognize the historical importance of the area. Sometimes, though, you just want to go boating or fishing on the lake. Concord Park gives locals plenty of opportunity for that. The 500-acre public park is off Northshore Drive, which follows the northern shore of Fort Loudoun Lake. Concord Park is tremendous, not only for its size, but also for its gorgeous landscapes, its ease of access to the lake, and its amenities. There are two softball fields, seven baseball fields, two tennis courts, and one football field. Concord Park also has a Par 3 nine-hole golf course and a swimming pool. The park has both paved and natural trails, including eight miles that could be used for mountain biking. There are three fishing piers, two concession stands, five picnic shelters, 34 picnic tables, restrooms and a playground. In the park, there are a couple of popular spots consisting of a sandy beach front at which you can go swimming and two sand volleyball areas and canoe and kayak rentals, plus a walking loop, a covered pavilion and more picnic tables. The Point also has space for inline hockey area and soccer. For dog owners, there is a large dog park that includes a large and small dog area as well as access to the water for those doggies that like to swim. Concord Marina is on-site right inside the park. There you'll find a full-service restaurant, gas, boat ramps, a store with boating accessories, a rentable clubhouse and even WiFi Internet. Bluegrass Real Estate Bluegrass could go unnoticed if you don't notice the secret entrance, some would say. It is currently one of the fasted developing areas coming up in the West Knoxville area. It follows the Tennessee River/Ft Loudon Lake and rolls west from Rocky Hill on Northshore Drive. It is conveniently located close to Pellissippi Parkway, making a quick route to McGhee Tyson Airport, The Smoky Mountains, and Interstate 40 and 75 are also easily accessible. Mainly residential, Bluegrass has a bedroom community feeling to it with several subdivisions. Some of these subdivisions are upscale and exclusive, such as Whittington Creek, which has immaculately landscaped lawn areas, a 25-meter Olympic pool, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, a playground, and a full size basketball court. Many would say Bluegrass is among the most beautiful areas in Knoxville as it follows along the Tennessee River with a gorgeous backdrop of trees and mountains. The area's 16 acre park is located on a peninsula. It includes restaurants, a grocery salon, store, an eye wear shop, and a coffee shop. This area has an upscale feel, from the neighborhood homes to the businesses. There are 2 public parks in the area, the first being Admiral Farragut Park, a 23-acre section with disc golf, picnic areas and tables, and trails that connect to Carl Cowan Park just down the road. Carl Cowan Park is a 32-acre park with a soccer field, tennis courts, a walking loop, picnic tables, and a splash pad that's open from April-October.
