Let’s Light It Up! Festival of Trees Coming Soon

    Nov 02, 2021

Now that Halloween has passed, we’re turning our focus to some great holiday fundraisers coming up. One of our favorite holiday events to sponsor is the Festival of Trees that’s hosted in Deerfield by the Franklin County Rotary and the Greenfield Kiwanis Club. All proceeds go back to the Franklin County community by way of community grants.

If you’ve never been to this amazing event, the way the Festival of Trees works is that an individual or company registers and “sponsors” a tree. They chose a theme for their tree, and gifts that will be raffled away. This year our agent team has chosen to donate gift cards to local restaurants! We’ll decorate our tree with food themed decorations and the gift card info in ornaments to show people what they can win. In previous years, some of my favorites have been wine trees where the tree is decorated with multiple bottles of wine to gift, or toy trees with all kinds of toys for kids under the tree. The options for creativity here are endless!

After the trees are all decked out, the really fun part starts! Visitors purchase raffle tickets and then check out all the cool trees and vote for their favorite. At the end, a winner will be chosen for each tree and the winner gets to take home the whole thing –– tree, decorations, and all the gifts that come along with it. So not only do you get a chance to win a tree of your choosing, the money you spend on the raffle goes right back to Franklin County. It’s such a clever and fun event and it really brings out the holiday spirit!

This year, the Festival of Trees is held at 253 Greenfield Road, Deerfield. Dates are Nov. 26 and 27, and Dec. 3, 4, 10, and 11. It’s only open on Friday (5–8 p.m.) and Saturdays (12–6 p.m.)

Hope to see you all there!
