Robert Bittinger Jr

In early 2020, my father, a Greenbrier County resident, passed away, leaving his house in equal shares to his four children. We are a dispersed family, currently living anywhere from two to fourteen hours away from Greenbrier County. None of us could make regular trips to Greenbrier County to care for the house, nor did any of us wish to keep it in the family. This is where Robert Bittinger joins the story. We listed the home with Robert, who proved to be an invaluable resource. He helped us find services necessary to maintain the property, his research landed on a listing price that proved to be (based upon the Buyer's subsequent appraisal) 'œright on the money,' and he ushered us through the contract phase with professionalism and good humor. At least as important as all of these factors was his responsiveness to our questions and requests and, because I was the Executor of my father's Estate and live seven hours from Greenbrier County, I had many questions. I give Robert the highest possible marks, and my family and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to transact Real Estate business in Greenbrier County. By the way, while this certainly may not be everyone's experience, we Closed the sale of my father's home just two months after we listed with Robert. He is one of the good guys!

My experience in working with Robert could NOT have been more to my satisfaction. In all seriousness,not only do all the descripters listed below apply to this person but also I can add others such as patience. Furthermore, Robert is a respectful and excellent listener. Mr Bittinger embrased and worked within certain restraints I imposed regarding this sale; namely concern for my neighbors. I wanted to sell to someone who would be a good match for my friends who own adjacent properties. This necessitated turning down one offer and thereby adding to Robert's workload. We worked through this with abosolutely no hint of disappointment or hesitation on Robert's part. From a technical point of view, the outreach to potential byers reached in the neighborhood of one thousand inquiries; if one includes all modes of contact. Robert was very professional and answered all of questions and emails in a timely manner. Very knowledgeably of the WV area, as I was selling an inherited piece of property and not familiar with the area. He had a handyman and cleaner on speed dial which was nice. Ever since we met I feel like you weren't just my realtor, but a friend. let me start by saying its hard to separate the two. I'll review on the realtor, very honest, always greeted me with a smile, very knowledgeable of the area ( and yes I hit every corner of Monroe, wythville, and Greenville. up rocky roads there is no place this man wouldn't take me. He knew me... that's where the friend comes in. even though we had never met before, on his first time meeting me he asked me what I was looking for. there were times when I wanted to see a property and he would say " let me show it to you and did you know that not to far there is something that also might be to your liking".. He knew, and everytime I came from Louisiana I did not have to remind him. I must say when he would say " I'll show you this because you asked " I could tell he was looking out for me, to get me what I want. That's what friends do, I consider Rob. Let me end by saying, I bought land in Baton Rouge, White Castle, Gonzales, St. Gabriel and Plaquemine and never did I feel like any one of those realtors were looking out for me let alone I would call friend. When we finally decided to put our house on the market, the internet ratings on the “realtor” sites were most helpful. In our area it was a very easy decision…they all came back and pointed to one individual… Mr. Robert Bittinger, Jr;) With Robert, you don’t have just him, you have the support of his lovely wife, Sarah, his father and mother who travel around making sure that the brochures are neat and grass is clipped around the signs PLUS the whole team of Coldwell Banker Associates. ~ Let me tell you what Robert did for us. ~ Our desire was to have that back road country farm that all the kids and grandkids could come to and enjoy each other along with the ponies, cooking, hunting and EATING without being too far out from the workplace. To put it simple, in these ever-changing times with the world forcing “this and that” on you, there comes a time when you realize that FAMILY is the square root that multiplies itself. The home we had was sufficient, but it lacked acreage, and although it was close to work, it was in a location that no longer suited our needs. We then gathered information on what was out there, you know, on the market, for sale. Since we chose Robert as our listing agent to sell our home (with so many other random customers putting him in such high regard) we thought it only fair to ask him to be our “foot-in-the-door” guy to get us in to all these potential homes to have a look see. There wasn’t a mountain too high or a valley too low, Robert waded through them all with us. Even if he was tired, had several closings in a days time, he would just smile and say "when ya wanna see it?" We’d usually do a “drive-by” to weed out the impossibles and then it was “game on” if even a few boxes were clicked. Some of the curiosities turned in to nightmares. Oh, the places we put ole Robert through. I remember one time we drove for over an hour, walked right in the back door of the place (after he unlocked it) and wondered if we had the right listing. I was ready to leave . Now, let me say something here to some of the “other” agents while we’re on the subject… if you’re going to sell a place, then by all means take the BEST photos you can, and MANY, because they are your supporting documents. But don’t take photos of a lush green forest and even mention it in your captions to the extent of exact acreage vs. open ground if it indeed IS NOT to be conveyed. And if you, the “others”, want to truly sell your listings then don’t disregard another agent’s request to show YOUR property for fear that THEY may sell it for you. Makes me wonder why your listing has been on the market for soooo many years (?) When the right home came up for us to purchase we had a fear that our home would not be sold in time to do the transaction. This contingency weighed heavy on our minds. But not with Robert on board, Robert exposed our home through his expertise in asking the right questions so that he could address the special interests that may appeal to the buyers. We only had our home showed twice, I would say because of the fine photos that he took (along with the subject matter) the folks that walked in to our home saw it just as Robert presented it. And that my friends, is the truth. If there was a question, Robert was right there with the answer and if he didn’t know, he would tell you. You see this is more than a business for him, and he has made a believers out of us. If any of my friends, family, co-workers, or a complete stranger I should happen to over-hear @ the Wal-mart check out need ANY advise on selecting a realtor, you got it. As a former builder and renovator of homes I have never met and dealt with a finer realtor. His strengths, as listed below go far beyond just a check mark.
