Definitely went above and beyond! Got us a price that was phenomenal and was always quickly and easily contactable. Does that excellent synthesis of being approachable and easygoing with the clients (us) while also being a strong negotiator and on-the-ball with the other side. Never had a second where we were in the dark!

This was my second time working with Ray to buy a house. This house needed some additional work after the inspection and Ray was invaluable working through multiple issues. The sellers missed a couple of deadlines but Ray was able to keep the process going and we ended up with a good deal.

It appears that this review thinks I am the purchaser of the 512 W. 3900 N property in Pleasant View. However, I am the seller. My husband and I have also purchased our home through Ray Clayton as our realtor. Both experiences have been the BEST possible. Both situations were difficult, but handled smoothly and without worry with Ray at the helm! As I finished the last transaction, I told him that he was "my realtor for life." I count him as a friend, and actually miss him very much because he used to be a part of my daily life.

Ray worked very hard to see that I was able to see all the houses I requested. He was vey dedicated to helping me find the right home. I worked with him for 1 1/2 years and would work with him again on my next purchase. I will recommend him to anyone that I know is looking for a home.

Because of his knowledge of construction he gave good quick appraisals on the condition of the homes we looked at. After we made an offer on a home, he worked hard and quickly so that we closed on our home in about 3 weeks. I can't imagine the process going any smoother or better.

He was a very good agent. He was patient and did his job extremely well. he was not pushy and wanted to make sure that we were satisfied with what we bought.

It sometimes seemed I was doing all of the work. He showed us many houses we didn't like the first time twice and he would often show us the wrong house that we requested. Also, he sometimes had no idea where the house he was showing us was located. Overall, I would not recommend him, but I would recommend Zip Realty. On a positive note, Ray did refer us to, in my opinion, the best mortgage company in the state.

Throughout the entire process, I never felt as though my agent's number one concern was my best interest. While this was a business transaction, I felt we were entering into a business relationship which would be beneficial to both parties involved; myself and my realtor. Throughout my entire home-buying process, I felt as though my agent's number one concern was the sale and his commission. Again, there was never one instant where I felt as though his goal was to represent me and my interests. As a first-time home-buyer, I had lots of questions. There were times when I felt as though he seemed to be inconvenienced by my questions. Additionally, there were some questions I had to ask multiple times before getting an answer and some which went unanswered. While he did take the time to show me different properties and did meet all legal requirements outlined in the buyer's agent agreement, his customer service skills were entirely lacking and frankly quite shameful - to the point that at times he was argumentative with me. This is not the attitude of a realtor working FOR a buyer. Additionally, at times he was less than honest with me. While he never outright lied to me, on a few ocassions he'd withheld the entire truth in order to best protect his and the selling realtors interests versus protecting my interests. While I fully realize that construction delays are beyond an agent's control, during the 2-month period of one delay follwed by another he never once offered to show me alternate properties though he realized the urgency of my need to purchase a home. In all honesty, I've met and dealt with used car salesmen who possess a better sense of ethics and more refined customer service skills.
