Humberto was born in Nicaragua, CA has been married for 39 years and has 2 children and 1 granddaughter.
He has lived in Miami, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and the last 3 years in Laurel MD. Humberto attended la Salle high school and UCA Universidad Centroamericana majoring in Business Administration. Before moving to the USA, he was and importer of pharmaceutical products from different countries in Europe, and also imported Olive oil and wines from Italy. When he moved to Miami he started working at Kmart, that started his career in retail for the last 34 years, working for Target and lately JCPenney. He recognizes the importance of excellent customer service
Everywhere that he has lived, he has felt the importance of working with the community In high school he did missionary work in his country building rural schools, In college he was part of a catholic group that offered spiritual retreats to seniors students from high school. In Miami he served as a board member of YMCA for the city of West Miami and also supported the adult education in that area. When in PR he served as a board member of United Way for 6 years and was the campaign chairman 3 times. In MD he has collaborated with March of dimes and the Nicaraguan/American Foundation, this foundation works in developing rural communities in Nicaragua helping with Nicaraguan living around the world but especially in USA. Now, Humberto is interested in teaching English to adults from his church.
In his spare time, Humberto loves reading, history is his favorite subject. He tries to play golf every chance he get, still struggling to break 90. And his passion since very young is to listen to music, almost any type of music, especially jazz and classical music.
Humberto learned his work ethics from his Father, and his number one rule was honesty above anything. Humberto’s commitment is to provide his customers with honest loyal service.
