Moving into a new home or moving out of one you’ve lived in for years is always an adventure. In today’s highly mobile business world, opportunity and circumstance constantly create the possibilities of living in new ways, in new areas, in different types of homes and in different areas of town.
Don Pierce knows a lot about moving (he moved 14 times between the 1st and 12th grade) as well as all of the fine details and transactional necessities required to make buying and selling a home a seamless experience. He knows the impact of a move on a family and how to keep the buying and selling process positive and productive. Relatively new to the world of residential real estate, his pre-agent background includes handling major marketing programs for international real estate firms like Kingwood, Friendswood Development, Prudential’s Real Estate Development division, and Gerald D. Hines. Other marketing clients include Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., Nike, ABC Television, Reebok, BMW, and Wilson Sporting Goods, who brought him in for major creative and branding projects.
Don’s background includes experience as a financial company executive and also as investment banker specializing in the acquisition and divestiture of family owned businesses. As an investment banker, selling privately held businesses, he was responsible for negotiating and managing the sale of multi-million dollar businesses, steering the sales and acquisition process through very complex transactional details and personalities to a successful close. As Don says, “I learned to add and subtract at a very high level”. He has worked in New York, Boston, Chicago, London, Paris, Sillans (France), and Rome. If you’re moving to Houston, he’s your guy. If you have to sell your home because you’re leaving for an overseas assignment, he understands what you and your family are going through. And if you want to move from one neighborhood to another—or one part of town to another—he can facilitate it.
Prior to joining Coldwell Banker United’s Memorial Office, Don worked for international auto manufacturer Ferrari, managing up to three dealerships at once, supervising the building and renovation of facilities, and overseeing the sale of literally hundreds of automobiles, while hiring the staff, installing and upgrading computer facilities, and insuring that while each department operated at an optimum level, each customer had an optimum experience.
Working primarily in the Memorial Area, Don and his wife Donna Pierce, who is also a Coldwell Banker United Real Estate Agent, can assist you with any type of property, from a short term lease to a family home to a lot on which to build a new home. He knows the area well—his four children went through the neighborhood’s school system—and has been active in both area civic and sports activities, working with the Scouts as a leader and coaching multiple teams in the Spring Branch Area Sports Association.
“If you’re considering buying or selling a home”, Don notes, “ you should make your decision on the firm to work with on the same basis that I made mine when I joined Coldwell Banker: the local and international strength of the company, the technology the agents can deploy for the clients benefit; the social media presence that can be brought to bear on your property; and the knowledge base available to you through both the agent and the company. No one in real estate has the assets that Coldwell Banker has. You should put these assets to work for your situation. I would, of course, love to be your agent as you move into the next stage of your life and show you how effectively a technologically advanced real estate firm with a unique ability to relate to their clients can be for your family’s move. “
