With an engineer father in the Air Force who later worked on the Lunar Module Project for NASA, she traveled and relocated between North and South America until the age of 10. Moving to Houston, she finally claimed it as her home. Raised in Memorial, she remembers seeing Houston change. "I enjoyed watching this beautiful city grow. I can still remember when west of Gessner and south of Westheimer were all green pastures. It was a time when Memorial was considered far from downtown." Often when people went to visit those living in the Memorial area, they brought a suitcase and spent the night. She now works where she grew up and knows the area and Houston in general quite well.
She comes to the industry from 30 years as an accountant in the oil and gas industry until she decided to follow her passion for Real Estate and bid adieu to the corporate world. "I have always wanted to be a Realtor and in fact, as a child, I wanted to be an architect to be able to design homes. I love showing them and helping people with all of their Real Estate needs." With attention to detail, organized and an expert negotiator, she brings an array of skills to the job.
When she started out in real estate she chose Keller Williams Memorial because of the training and the culture: God, family, work. She is now with Coldwell Bank in Cypress to be close to home. Since education is so important to her, she educates her clients on the process up front helping to alleviate any fears they may have. She chose Real Estate because she likes helping people, something important to her since childhood. Working well with others, she understands and empathizes with people. She has a knack for understanding her clients' needs by getting to know them. "I don't just want to know how many bedrooms they want, square feet and price, I want to know how they live, what they want out of their home and why. Then I can find them the perfect home. It is all about the relationships we develop. I care about what they feel."
A woman who took mothering her three grown children seriously, she now nurtures her clients treating them like family. "When you are a Realtor, your clients become dear to you,'' she said. "I like becoming involved in their lives, and I stay with them even after the transaction. Just because we closed the deal doesn't mean we close the relationship. I am there for them, and we end up as friends."
Aside from Real Estate, she enjoys being active, volunteering and exploring the world. Her life has taken many twists and turns, and she continues to reinvent herself delighting in each new adventure. "I have three beautiful children, and I am now blessed with my first grandchild. I'm excited about my new career and look forward to working with clients to make their dreams come true."
