Who would not want to live in southwest Florida? That is especially true of Sarasota and its environs. It was certainly why we transplanted here several years ago from Westchester County, New York. The city of Sarasota, where we reside now, has all the benefits of a major metropolitan area. Its outstanding beaches are world renown. Its arts, including theater, opera, and its many other music venues are unmatched anywhere in Florida. Its outdoor living, and yes, the availability of many great restaurants are icing on the cake. Yet, it is all without the hassle of large city life and endless commuting.
Before retiring from a career I had loved, and prior to moving to the city of Sarasota, I practiced as a surgical oncologist for over 35 years, specializing in head and neck cancer surgery. I was fortunate to serve as a Professor of Surgery in two of the finest cancer centers in the country, University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, New York. It was a challenging career but rewarding, principally because of the close relationships I maintained with the many patients I served, even after their cancer treatment
The move to Sarasota started a new chapter in my life. I learned from medicine the joy of helping others. It fostered in me an improved capacity to understand individual needs. So, it was with these skills that I felt the desire to better serve my new community. Real estate was the answer. Now, as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker, I have been working with families to find the right home. There is an art to understanding what each person or family needs, in arguably the most important investment in life. I will strive to meet that challenge which each and every one of my clients. My clients and I also gain from the many benefits of working with Coldwell Banker Realty. The accumulated experience of its staff will add assistance to clients in listings, offerings, finding the right mortgage brokers, closings, and the many other steps in "finalizing the deal".
