Amira Lynn Trice is a true native Texan. Born in San Antonio, TX, most famously known as the heart of Texas, you simply can't get more native. She moved up north to Mineral Wells at the age of eleven and gained familiarity with the surrounding areas from engaging in sports while in high school. She excelled in volleyball, basketball, and track, and competed for state with track. This showcased her drive to be the best and go out for an adventure which ultimately led her to enlisting in the United States Army.
To challenge herself the best way she could, she enlisted as an MP (Military Police) and made her name known everywhere she went as well as made an impact on everyone she worked with. She was the go-to for paperwork, top physical fitness score in the company, great feedback from training soldiers, situation-based training while working law enforcement operations, and maintaining the highest OVUII (Operating motor vehicle under intoxicants/intoxicated) cases on mid-shift. She was highly requested to work with and the first one to respond on all calls. She maintained her shift as a Patrol Supervisor and those days always ended smoothly. She was designated shortly after receiving an injury during training to become the NCOIC (Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge) of the Arms Room. She not only maintained and repaired all equipment, but she set the standard for the battalion and won the AAME (Army Award for Maintenance Excellence) award for Best Arms Room in the entire Army.
She received many awards for the hard work she did for 8 years, but she knew it wasn't what she wanted as a career as the hours was not favorable for being a mother of three and a wife who has to do everything because a husband at the end of the day is just that, a husband. After completing her full 8 years on active duty, she enlisted into the Reserves so that she wouldn't leave the lifestyle she loved.
She immediately began going to Central Texas College in Killeen, TX and started working towards getting her license in Real Estate. From the time of transitioning out the military she already knew this is what she wanted to do. It would be another way that she could stay in tune with her passion, working with the community. When she was an MP she loved when she had to conduct walking patrols in the neighborhoods because she loved interacting with the community, as well as looking at houses. She always remembered all the housing communities and always gave advice on which ones were the ones to live at. Additionally, a lot of the real estate interest was fueled by HGTV. While taking all the courses in Real Estate, she quickly saw how Real Estate had many similarities as working as an MP. Your honest and loyal service to the community was #1. The importance of attention to detail in your paperwork and maintaining organization and responsibility was #2. How everyday was different and not one case would be the same. Possibly having to deal with irate customers.. These are just to name a few.
Amira accepted this challenge because she feels like she truly has a way to connect with the community, as she has experience from law enforcement operations. Though she hopes she won't have to pepper spray her new audience. She's hopeful, but always ready.
Since achieving her real estate license, her next challenge was finding her new home, an agency that represented the values and ethical morals she carried. She wanted to find the right climate that made everyone feel that little warm feeling in their chest. She began her interviews through multiple brokerages and then came into Coldwell Banker. From the moment she was greeted at the door, she knew this was the one. She had been greeted with open arms, introduced to what seemed like a long-lost family where everyone was looking out for each other rather than their own interest.
