    10 Years Professional Corporate Marketing

Prior to real estate I spent 10 years working in corporate marketing where I was leading teams, developing marketing and social media strategies, creating analytics driven business solutions, developing branding and advertising strategies and traveling internationally for work. These are high level skills that I have carried forward into my real estate.

I'm also part of a real estate team, which means you will have not just me but my team working for you!

    Yes. Without question.
My clients are my priority. I get dozens of calls and emails daily, and I work hard to reply as quickly as possible.

These are "strong suits" of mine:
-Working with first time home buyers
-Relocations - I have had several relocation clients and enjoy helping each one transition into a new area.
    -Listing homes
    -Negotiating strong offers
If your goal or situation isn't represented on that list, don't worry, this is just a snap shot. We will go over my expertise and how I can apply it to your specific real estate needs when we meet.

Here are the skill-sets that I've developed over the years:
-Listening. Unfortunately, it's a lost art these days.
    - Keeping you informed and communicating with you. I want you to know at all times exactly where we are in the process. At the same time, I make it my goal to take the buying and selling stress off your shoulders.
-Developing specific marketing plans for your property.
-Working diligently for you. From the first meeting through the closing, I'm trained to guide you throughout the process.

Melissa helped us find our happily ever after. Our last home had gotten small, our needs had changed, and it was time for a move. We choose Kentucky. Being new to the area, we knew we had to have help. We talked to many people who all offered to help, Melissa Albert offered to listen. What a difference that made. We didn't really have a set list of items we were looking for, but Melissa suggested things that she thought would allow us to have what we needed for now and for years to come based on what she heard from us, while staying in our price point. We did look at numerous properties, and we are not easy customers, we knew that. It never mattered to Melissa. She even said one time that we were making a big decision, and that we needed to take all the time we needed to make a decision that we could live with for years to come. She understood our concerns. It has been just over a year or so now, and life moves fast when you're having fun. We really enjoy our new home, and we appreciate the very large part that Melissa paid in helping us achieve our 'happily ever after'.

I highly recommend the Albert team if you are in the market to buy or sell a house! Melissa was extremely helpful every step of the way with the quick sale of our house, and so patient with helping us find a new home. She was always available for our questions, and she was great at communicating everything we needed to know throughout the whole process. She worked so hard for us through all the little issues we had along the way, and we appreciate it so much!!

My wife and I were so blessed to meet Melissa, she wasnt only about the sale of our home but was concerned with how our future would play out, what a wonderful person. We were heading toward a foreclosure with no hope in sight until Melissa came aboard, she has given us new faith and hope. If anyone ever needs a Realtor, I would highly recommend Melissa. If dedication is what you are looking for than Melissa is definitley the person you want on your side.

If we're ever in the market for another home, we'll be looking for Melissa again. She is absolutely dedicated to the task of finding her client the perfect home. We had some issues with the first mortgage company we talked to, resulting in significant delays and an eventual change to another mortgage company, but Melissa remained completely patient with us, and was able to answer or quickly find an answer to every question we had. If you're looking for a new home, talk to Melissa first. You'll be glad you did!

Winter Decor: Fighting the January Blues

There is something magical about the holiday season. The lights and decorations bring a sense of nostalgia for years past and wonder and excitement for the future. We spend weeks, maybe even months planning and prepping - the food, decor, the gifts. With all the preparations and running around it should seem a relief when it's time to pack it away for another year. However, for many people January can feel not just drab but the days seem to be duller (not to mention the nights long). The sparkle...

Beginners Guide to Painting Your Kitchen Cabinets

Notice: This article contains links to items we used on our cabinets. We do not endorse nor have we received any incentive or compensation for these items. It's just here for your convenience. If you are reading this blog article you've probably been thinking about painting your cabinets for a while. I know I did. I saved pins, read articles on painting and felt so confused about how to go about it. Should we paint over wood cabinetry? Would I miss my wood cabinets? Would the paint look professi...

How To Extend Your Kitchen Cabinets to the Ceiling

Steve and I bought our home in 2008. It was our first house and we fell in love with the land, the open concept and the potential to have a little farmhouse. We built a barn, landscaped, painted and made general improvements over the years but did not love our kitchen with its builder grade cabinets. Our kitchen had serious lack of storage and some wear and tear over the years. The cabinets turned colors from a pine color to orange, yes ORANGE. (Yuck!) The screw on the corner pie cabinet had not ...
