Welcome to my bio, here's a little bit about me. I am a native New Mexican born and raised in Albuquerque. After getting my BBA and MBA at New Mexico State University I moved to the Bay Area to work for The Learning Company and Mattel, Inc.. I was drawn to Los Angeles where I worked in software and consumer products at The Walt Disney Corporation. I consulted for the next 5 years and then I came back to New Mexico to be around family and raise my twin boys. I rediscovered my love for my home state and want to help other people call New Mexico home, too!

After celebrating 20 years of being Cancer free, my husband Jeff Apodaca and I created the Jeff Apodaca Multi-Media center at the University of New Mexico's Children's hospital, that provides education and entertainment for kids while they spend time in the hospital.

OPEN SOURCE KIDS - TEACHING ELEMENTARY AGE KIDS TO CODE
I am passionate about helping kids learn to code at an early age giving them more opportunities to every child, regardless of economic status. Open Source Kids, LLC. is the first coding program in NM to help elementary age kids. It as won several awards through Albuquerque Public Schools and the Air Force Tech Community outreach program. www.opensourcekids.org
ARGOS ANIMAL RESCUE
Argos, a Shelter Dog Rescue's mission is to rescue, provide medical care, and successfully re-home dogs at risk of being euthanized in New Mexico shelters. We work closely with other rescues, professionals, and shelters to provide much needed education to the public. www.argosdogrescue.org

My Community Involvement
- The Jeff Apodaca Multi-media Center at the University of New Mexico was created by my husband and I to give back to our community. Jeff had a rare cancer imbedded in his prostate and was only the 9th person in the world to get it. He remembered that there was nothing to do while he was taking his treatments. Our goal for kids while they are in the hospital is to help them forget, if just for a moment their illness. We provide educational and entertaining programs for every age. We also have tutors for kids so they do not fall behind in their school work. Lastly, we give out 2-3 scholarships a year to New Mexico students enrolled in nursing. www.jeffapodaca.com
