MARJORIE SORRELL
Born in Greensboro, I was fortunate to call the Lake Oconee area home during my
childhood. My family moved to Athens, Georgia where I eventually went on to get my bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Georgia in 2005.
In 2006 I moved to Charleston, South Carolina where I became a licensed real estate
agent and joined Creative Communities Incorporated, a resort development company based out of Florida. For two years I worked selling property in private golf, lake, and mountain communities throughout the Carolinas and Georgia.
I then had the most amazing opportunity and spent almost two years sailing the beautiful waters of the South Pacific with my (then) fiancé, Drew. So I can definitely understand one's love of being on or near the water. After arriving in Austrailia, we sold the boat, moved back to Greensboro, and got married. I joined the Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty team and Drew and I also started our company, Goodwin Events. The immense growth of the company allowed me to step away from real estate for a few years in order to help with the day today operations of the business. For the past six years I have been in charge of financial opertions as as well as business relationship management.
I also managed in those six years to obtain my greatest role ever...Mom. We have three beautiful children - Shafer (5), Lydienne (3), and Lincoln (18 mths).
My greatest passion has always been real estate. Rejoining the Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty team gives me the opportunity to make that dream come true for you!
