My Client Testimonials

We worked with John Black for our purchase and from the very beginning, John was polite, professional, and jumped through hoops to help us through the process. We encountered a lot of issues with the home during this time, and John helped us keep calm through the ups and downs of getting thing done properly, especially since we lived out of state. My entire family and I were on vacation when we first looked at the house, and we over-whelmed him with about a dozen or so different people walking through it, checking things out! He managed this encounter with poise and grace! I'm actually quite saddened that we no longer have weekly chats about the things we need to get resolved that week! He was such a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend John Black and his brother George for any other real estate needs one would have.
John and George went out of their way to be accessible, provide guidance, and do extensive research on the property we bought. We went into the purchase quickly and John and George were with us every step of the way on our timeline. It was one week from initial call to accepted purchase agreement. The service was above and beyond our expectations.
John and George were more than professional throughout the entire process. From correspondence to general guidance, they were on top of it. They were never pushy, yet guided me to purchasing a home that I am very happy with! The process was streamlined start to finish, and was made very easy and stress free. Any roadblock that we came to, they were able to overcome and kept me informed along the way. I never once felt pressured to buy a home. In fact, I was relieved to have such reliable and professional agents working for me. I cant thank them enough, and plan to highly recommend them for anyone that has real estate needs! Great job boys, and thank you!
Whether you're a first-time home buyer, familiar with the process or selling a home, you couldn't choose a better realtor. His professionalism, personable demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile shows that George stands out above the rest. I've worked with agents both buying and selling real estate and it routinely seemed as though I would do most of the work and the agent would be present only when necessary. With George, he not only listens to what you want to purchase, but actively seeks out recommendations to find you a home, provides market activity updates, comes prepared and well organized with every appointment and make himself available around your schedule. Without hesitation, I would recommend George Black. I was equally impressed with a potential home sale opportunity I offered to George and his colleague and brother, John Black. Aside from the competitive marketing materials and resources available to sell a home, the detailed market analysis reports and guidance they both brought to the table were well beyond my expectations.

    #FieldTripFriday: One Church Street
Last week we took a trip to a very prominent building on Church Street. One Church Street, with over 50,000 square feet over seven stories has nearly 130 years of history as a former Masonic Temple. We wanted to know what has gone on since its construction and operation as a Masonic Temple. Here are our top 3 takeaways:The massive building cost $87,500 to build in 1898, equivalent to $2.41 million in today's currency. It was called the Grand Lodge and had a two-story auditorium where Masonic rit...

    #FieldTripFriday: Wolcott Methodist Church
In honor of Black History Month we made a trip to our hometown of Wolcott, Vermont to the United Methodist Church. We were surprised to learn the church we drove by during our childhood was built in 1856 by a group of trustees led by a Pastor of African descent - very atypical pre Civil War. George S. Brown ended up in Wolcott after becoming a Pastor in New York and then traveling to Liberia preaching to the natives. Here are three impressive things we learned about this man:1) Ge...

    #FieldTripFriday: PuroClean
This week's adventure took us to Puroclean in Williston. We thought this would be an appropriate follow-up to the visit to the fire station visit as these are the people that come in to clean up once the fire is put out. Their motto "the paramedics of property damage" rings true this time of year as they are helping customers with pipes that have burst. Here are three things we learned from the visit:1) 34% of dryer fires are started by dirty vents, so make sure to clean the lint ...
