    My husband and I recently purchased a home in Grass Valley with the help of Kim Hale from Coldwell Banker Grass Roots Realty. After searching several months for a perfect location to buy our retirement home in, we were lucky enough to have had Kim respond to our online inquiries about Grass Valley. She showed us homes in different types of communities, and lead us to our new home on the first day we met with her. Kim had met us on a Sunday, postponing a family event to accommodate our schedule, which was a big plus for us. She was very knowledgeable about the Grass Valley area, and was very friendly and pleasant.     My family and I live overseas, but we knew we wanted to live in the Nevada County area eventually. We came to Grass Valley with limited time to find a suitable home for ourselves in the midst of a hot market. We were successful only because of Kim's tireless efforts on our behalf. She figured out quickly what we were looking for and helped us focus our search. More importantly, she gave us the benefit of our trained eye to help us distinguish between homes that might work for us and places that would require more work than we could take on. We had to leave the U.S. before we closed on our home, and Kim took the lead as we went through a series of inspections and repairs.     Kim Hale with Coldwell Banker, Grass Roots Realty, was very helpful in helping me find my retirement home. I was living in San Clemente, California and wanted to make the move north for my retirement years. Kim asked what kind of home I was looking for and proceeded to send me listing that fit my criteria, with daily updates. When I had an offer on my San Clemente home, I flew up to meet with Kim and start the hunt. It was a cold, very rainy day but we persevered. Kim was very easy to talk to and made the hunt a lot of fun. We spent three hours looking at all the homes on my list, even though I was already in love with house #3. An hour later my offer was ready to present to the owner. On Thanksgiving day Kim called to let me know the offer was accepted. Kim was there for me through the whole process and even had my new home warm and welcoming for me after a 12 hour drive. Kim has become not only my realtor but a friend.     I met Kim when I was looking online for a house in the Grass Valley area. Her name came up on the house that I wanted more information onit was an immediate connection. Kim was very outgoing and friendly and said she would make a phone call and get the information that I wanted and a friendship was formed as well as a great real estate person to deal with. It was a crazy time to want to buy a home in the Grass Valley area because it seemed that everyone else in the world wanted the same thing; they certainly wanted the same house(s) that I wanted and they were gone before I got a chance to see them. It was almost impossible to live 2 hours away and work five days a week to see a house when it came on the market. Another friend of mine was trying to take my place and he was going to look at houses for me with Kim, but that didn't help much either because by the time I could get over here on the weekends, there was already a pending sale on the house. Finally, when the house that I am currently living in came on the market, Kim and my friend hustled to get over to see it and between Kim and my friend, they knew this was the house that I would love. Kim put an offer on the house, it was accepted and the rest is history. When I came to look at the house, after I had already made an offer on it, I knew this was home. With Kim's diligence, I got my woodsy, Grass Valley home. However, the rest of the process got even harder. There were new rules that came out regarding loans and although my credit was impeccable, it was the most grueling experience I have ever encountered and without Kim making phone call after phone call to get the loan company satisfied with tons of ridiculous tedious information, it never would have happened. I would recommend Kim to anyone looking to purchase a home because she literally stopped at nothing to find me what I was looking for. Andsince I am a person with little patience, she was able to keep me calm and reassured me that we would find the perfect house for me and she kept her word.     Prior to listing my home, I met with Kim to discuss what I wanted in a real estate agent and how to best market my house.     August 22, 2020 My husband and I were first time home sellers, so we were inexperienced with the whole process and had a lot of questions. Kim Hale at Coldwell Banker was our realtor. Kim was there every step of the way. We sold our house during the covid quarantine in a timely manner!     Five Stars for Kim Hale Realtor. When our family was moving from a great distance to Grass Valley, we had a small window of time to scout properties. Kim Hale made herself very available to fit our schedule and showed us as many properties as possible in a limited amount of time. Since weather and environment were important to us, our first appreciation was that Kim has an extensive knowledge of local microclimates, from dry desert to snowy mountains.
