January 2021 - Real Estate Update - Desoto County
The real estate marketing in Desoto County MS continues to be very active for both buyers and sellers! Its a dual market, a buyer and sellers market - all at one time! I don't know if there has ever been a time that this has happened!
What does that mean?
Buyers are enjoying increased buying power because interest rates are so much lower. They are able to afford to purchase more expensive homes compared to just 18 months ago when rates were almost 1 -1.5% higher!
Sellers are receiving higher sales prices, better terms, lower days on market.
It is a WIN WIN situation for buyers and sellers.
(But not all buyers are having luck finding homes because we are experiencing an inventory shortage ---more on that in another blog)
