Ed returns in 2020 to the same broker he started his real estate career with nearly 30 years ago. Earning the Top New Agent award his first year, it has been quite a winding path back home. Along the way, he has gained experience in the industry as a mortgage banker, a residential/multi-family property manager, and as a real estate investor himself.
During this time, Ed also brings experience from his work in the IT field, primarily as a contract software project manager. His attention to detail and ability to manage complex interrelated requirements, organize tasks, people and resources to complete projects on time and under budget will be put to good use helping his clients achieve their financial goals through real estate investing.
Ed¿s story in Long Beach begins in the summer of 1972, when at 10 years old his family purchased a house in the Los Altos neighborhood on Stearns Street near Palo Verde Ave. He attended 6th grade at Minnie Gant, moving on to Stanford Jr. High, and Millikan High School. His youth was spent outside playing most organized sports, until high school when he focused on baseball and has many fond memories playing at the historic Blair Field.
Starting his family shortly after graduating, Ed raised 4 wonderful children in Long Beach, who all graduated from Lakewood H.S., and now has 11 grandchildren between the ages of 4 and 14. Ed is married to Muriel, who was his partner in the property management business that we ran for over 20 years.
Growing up and living in Long Beach and seeing the huge changes over the years, Ed is thrilled with the revitalization of communities throughout our great city, agrees with those who are optimistic about the future of real estate here and sees tremendous opportunities for additional growth and redevelopment in the years to come. To take advantage of this opportunity, Ed will be using his experience in managing multi-family properties to work with real estate investors to buy/sell/exchange properties both to flip, and to hold for years to earn an ongoing income from their investment. As a real estate investor himself, Ed will ask the right questions and understand the issues from different points of view.
Working with a client¿s accountant and financial advisors, Ed will provide portfolio asset management services to analyze each property and create a plan that is best suited to meet their financial goals, ensuring that each property is achieving its maximum potential. Ed will also provide ongoing property management services that ensure the best possible return for the client.
