Melanie is absolutely amazing to work with! She is so laid back and honest and she made my first time home buying experience effortless! I was in England, moving back to the US when I contacted her and she went above and beyond to help me! We FaceTimed, emailed and called until I was absolutely sure what home I wanted and Melanie was so patient through the entire process. She is a godsent!

    My Experience

    • 18 Years of Real Estate Experience
    • Background in Sales & Marketing
    • SKILLED NEGOTIATOR - Learning to negotiate effectively does NOT come natural to everyone! As a skilled negotiator, I strategically work to accomplish the goals and objectives of my client. This includes being fully prepared by doing my homework prior to getting to the negotiating table. While emotions can run high during the negotiating phase, I have the skills to separate the issues from the emotions and I can break down the barriers that act as sticking points.
    • DETAIL ORIENTED AND ORGANIZED - My clients are counting on me to know the buying/selling process inside and out. Any errors, omissions, or missing paperwork has the potential to blow an entire deal. In addition, not performing proper research could end up costing my clients thousands of dollars. Paying attention to the details is one of the key points of my job.
    • WELL EDUCATED ON THE MARKET - I've been walking and talking about the streets of Wayne County for a long time now. The phrase "neighborhood expert" gets bandied about quite a bit but when it comes to being one of Goldsboro's leading real estate agents, I am a walking, talking encyclopedia of neighborhood lore. Ask me a question about a street and I will usually know what's on the market, what sold recently, and the overall status of the neighborhood. Tell me what you like in a neighborhood and I will immediately have several homes in mind that meet your needs.
    • TENACIOUS - Passive realtors dont sell homes. Aggressive professionals do and this is what I have to offer. Let's face it! This business isn't for the fainthearted. It takes hard work and determination to successfully market properties. Even when faced with intense challenge, strong realtors never give up. Highly self-motivated, I promote each home like my own.
    • GREAT COMMUNICATOR - I believe that listening to your clients needs represents a large part of my job as your agent. Buying or selling a home with an agent who is not a great communicator can be very stressful. What seems like insignificant information to an agent may be very important to clients who are new to the real estate game.

    • REALTOR Certification - A real estate agent is not the same as a realtor. First, lets cover similarities. Both have completed 30 to 90 hours of classes at an accredited university, college, or technical school. Each has passed an examination to become licensed. Both play the same role, to aid people in selling and buying property. A Realtor, however, has the distinction of being an active member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). As such, they must abide by the organizations standards and Code of Ethics. These guidelines require you to place client interests ahead of your own and to be honest in all interactions.
    • GRI - Graduate REALTOR Institute - this is the mark of a real estate professional who has made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational foundation.
