The recently concluded Coldwell Banker 100 Homes for Habitat campaign raised $6.2 million for local Habitat for Humanity affiliates and financed the construction of more than 130 home builds across the United States and Canada
Coldwell Banker is joined by four other well-known companies — Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware, Pfizer, Shell Oil Company and Sodexho — in the Stakeholder Engagement category of the CSR award program. The winner will be announced on March 19 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
"We have just come off what I call the greatest give-back in real estate history," said Jim Gillespie, president and chief executive officer of Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC. "We believe in Habitat for Humanity's mission and are inspired by the work of this organization. We are very proud of our achievements and being recognized by PR News is a reaffirmation of what we have accomplished."
Recently, Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC announced a new multi-year partnership with Habitat for Humanity International that centers on the Coldwell Banker Homes for Habitat campaign. The partnership is expected to raise another $4 million by 2011 with Coldwell Banker affiliated companies and sales associates continuing to support local Habitat for Humanity affiliates.
Habitat for Humanity has been the Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC national nonprofit organization of choice since 1993. Coldwell Banker affiliated companies have donated countless dollars and hours of labor to the organization and continue to raise the bar on their level of commitment.
