COLDWELLBANKER.COM NAMED TOP REAL ESTATE WEB SITE BY WEB MARKETING ASSOCIATION
PARSIPPANY, N.J. (Dec. 5, 2006) – The Coldwell Banker® national Web site, coldwellbanker.com, was named the Best Real Estate Web Site by the Web Marketing Association in its 2006 WebAward Competition. The WebAwards are acknowledged as one of the premier annual Web site competitions, evaluating entries from among 96 different industries.
Re-launched in early 2006, coldwellbanker.com boasts such cutting-edge features as satellite mapping complete with key community services, such as schools, parks, restaurants and health care providers, along with seamless transitions to local Coldwell Banker affiliate Web sites. The Coldwell Banker brand set an industry standard in April when it debuted streaming video content on the site, utilizing relationships with Forbes, HGTV and Fine Living. Another innovation in 2006 was the September launch of the new Coldwell Banker Personal Retriever® which utilizes Real Simple Syndication (RSS) technology and a downloadable "widget" application that automatically delivers daily, personalized real estate listings directly to a computer desktop.
This marked the second straight year in which Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation received the top award for real estate. The brand's stand-alone luxury properties Web site, coldwellbankerpreviews.com, won the Web Marketing Association's top honors when it debuted in 2005.

"This increase tells us that even though real estate market conditions have changed in many areas of the country, there is a strong audience for informative content and robust listings. We have also made it much easier for the consumer to connect from our national Web site to local Coldwell Banker affiliate Web sites, giving the consumer access to an unprecedented amount of listings. This effort has resulted in an 89 percent increase in direct click throughs to these local sites."

- The Spotlight Awards, presented by the League of American Communications Professionals LLC, recognized the site with two Platinum Awards; one for Excellence in Development and one for Top Communications Materials. The Web site also garnered a Gold Award for Best Visual Design.
- The Galaxy Awards, developed in 1987 by MerComm, Inc., honored the site in its Consumer Web site category. The Galaxy Awards recognize professionals who contribute to the process of building image, creating profit and making a difference in the marketplace.
